If you are keen to own one of these beautiful pieces be quick, they are very good at selling themselves.
The Crewel Work Company
We have already sold our first delivery of a magnificent new kit from The Crewel Work Company. Lady Anne's Flowers is a stunning, vibrant project that is based on a design from the time of Lady Anne Clifford who spent her childhood at the court of Elizabeth I in London. We are taking names for the next shipment, with a late 2013 delivery.
Designatus Christmas Ornaments 2013
These Christmas ornament kits from talented Australian designer Catherine Blanch have been such a welcome and fun addition to TCG. Each kit contains three ornaments worked with DMC threads on canvas, the designs are 'The North Pole', 'Three Kings', 'Nativity' and 'Santa, Angel and Tree' and a Bargello Ornament. They are exclusive to TCG and make wonderful gifts for family and friends. Hard to resist!
We are always looking for storage ideas and accessories to help organise your stitching or perhaps setup a new or younger stitcher. The French Bazaar offers a range of storage containers and boxes that are colourful, practical and fun, and look wonderful displayed on a shelf or work table. They are well priced starting at $25.00 for a folding compartment box, a lovely gift or something for your work space.
And don't forget that we also have a small range of the beautifully crafted timber display boxes from Olde Colonial Designs. These are very special pieces for your fine needlework.
A new shipment of these very practical storage bags using delightful French and Liberty fabric will be in store for our market day. Zippit's are well known for their quality and practicality when storing stitching projects. Available in two sizes, they will easily store your threads, charts and linens.
A new range of miniature kits have been released based on the successful Blooms range. The smaller size design makes them ideal for cushions and gifts, beautifully packaged as we have come to expect from Elizabeth Bradley.
One of our new favourites this year has been Gigi R from France. Gigi's use of colour in new interpretations of traditional samplers from her private collection is delightful. The Lady in Red Spinning her Wool, Autumn's Song and the Little Dutch Sampler 1841 are the most recent additions to our store. Hard to choose just one!
We have had lots of requests for stitching projects for children and are thrilled to stock the craft kits from Lucy Patterson. Based on designs from old kimono fabrics, these felt kits are colourful and fun and perfect for children 8 years and up.
The latest Shepherd's Bush stocking design Oliver is also ready to be stitched. We are busy completing one for the shop, which will join our other stockings on display. Oliver is a very handsome King and would look lovely hanging in your home.
The latest release from The Scarlet Letter Eliza Tagg 1775 is a must for fans of the Norfolk Sampler style, which is depicted so beautifully in Imitation and Improvement: The Norfolk Sampler Tradition. The book is in store now with the Scarlet Letter chart expected soon.

Imitation and Improvement: The Norfolk Sampler Tradition by Joanne Martin Lukacher would be a wonderful addition to your book collection if you are interested in historic samplers. The book offers more than 350 pages of information about the distinctive samplers stitched in Norfolk between 1730 and 1830. As well as a wealth of detail on samplers, it gives a very interesting insight into British culture in the late 18th Century. If you would like us to put a copy aside for you when they arrive, please let us know.
