Designed after a cruciform-shaped embroidered panel made by Mary, Queen of Scots.

Mary was a most prolific needlewoman, particularly during the nineteen years of her imprisonment by Queen Elizabeth I.

This adaptation of Mary Queen of Scot’s work is executed almost entirely in cross-stitch over two threads of linen. The outer border is filled in with counted thread satin stitch.

On 35 count linen, the finished panel will measure approximately 9” x 9¼”.

This project is recommended for any skill level.
