“This highly unusual memorial sampler features a chapel and
a churchyard, with an elegy to Mary’s deceased father. Stitched
entirely in cross stitch, the stark, evocative design is striking
and appropriately reflects Mary’s grief at the loss of her
father. The chapel is identified as “Providence Chapel”,
built in 1806.”
On 35 count linen, the reproduction sampler will measure approximately
