Measuring 2.25” square, the antique was stitched over one thread on slightly uneven linen with about 41 threads to the
inch wide and 38 threads high.
Over one thread, your sampler would measure about:
3.3”W x 3.1”H on 28ct linen;
2.9”W x 2.7”H on 32ct linen;
2.6”W x 2.4”H on 36ct linen;
2.3”H x 2.2”H on 40ct linen and
2”W x 1.9”H on 46ct linen.
Be sure to add 2” to each side when cutting your linen.
Linen count will determine type of floss used.
